Hi, my name is Vincent. I'm here today to fundraise for my 6 year old Rough Collie pup, Ranger's chemotherapy treatment.
After a week of constant pain, lethargy and inability to eat anything, my parents and I decided to bring him to the Veterinarian for an assessment. He was later hospitalised over the weekend, where they eventually discovered that he had Stage IV T-cell Lymphoma, a life-threatening and rare form of cancer of the lymph nodes. This came to be extremely surprising news; what was known as a dog who would run miles across the park,
Sadly, due to the severity and extent of the cancer spreading all over his body, especially his kidneys and liver, Ranger is likely to pass in the imminent weeks. However, doctors have advised us that he may have a chance to live longer with chemotherapy treatment. This does come with a hefty price of about $40,000 AUD. Due to financial constraints, I have decided to set a GoFundMe on behalf of my parents to hopefully give Ranger another chance to live and fight another day.
Pet healthcare is extremely expensive in Australia. 3 days of hospitalisation, countless tests and scans have already broken our bank by over $10,000 AUD. It's extremely sad to see such a healthy dog, who hasn't even lived through half his expected lifespan battle a vicious disease. This is honestly a call for help. My parents and I are not ready to lose him. All donations to this GoFundMe will fund Ranger's chemotherapy treatment.
