Randy’s Prayer Warriors-Our ALS Journey

Randy is a very loving and loyal husband, father and friend. He  was recently diagnosed with ALS. ALS, also known as Motor Neuron Disease (MND), Lou Gehrig's Disease, and Charcot's disease, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease which attacks motor neurons in the brain and spinal cord resulting in the wasting away of muscle and loss of movement. Most people live about 3-5 years after they experience their first signs of disease. There are currently no known effective cures or treatments to stop disease progression of ALS. However, there are current clinical Stem Cell trials under the Right To Try (RTT) Act that offer hope. However these treatments are 2-3 years away from FDA approval. Since these trials are not FDA approved, insurance will not pay for them. We are seeking donations for medical expenses, and to raise money in order to try and receive these trial stem cell treatments. Since stem cell treatments are treatments and not a cure, multiple treatments may be necessary. The cheapest clinical trial we have found is $14,500 per treatment plus expenses for the 3 day medical stay, if not accepted to clinical trial the cost climbs to $20,000 under right to try PER TREATMENT..... Please help give us hope, by helping us to raise money for these clinical trials. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. We are praying that Brainstorm’s NurOwn will be available in 2-3 years and we are hoping with these stem cell treatments we can help keep Randy alive and healthy enough to see these treatments be approved by the FDA. We are hoping to be able to get these stem cell treatments as soon as possible.
