My name is Melissa and I am Randy's daughter. I hate that we are even in this position to have to do this, because I'd rather just have my dad here. 

Last Tuesday my dad got into a car accident that caused him to be taken to the hospital, where they found a myriad of problems. The short of it is that they found blood clots that caused small strokes and then on Saturday he took a turn for the worse and had a major stroke that paralyzed his left side and caused major swelling on the brain. He was progressing well during the week but then on Thursday afternoon he stopped responding and it went downhill from there. 

He passed away peacefully around 11:30PM on Jan. 14th surrounded by family who loved him so much. My dad was a proud, hardworking man who always helped others and now we need the help since he didn't have life insurance. 

So many people have asked how they can help and have encouraged me to start this page. Any help would be appreciated and would be used exclusively for funeral costs and any other costs that come up with dealing with the end of life arrangements.
