For those of you that knew Randy you know he had a personality bigger than life itself! He had a very big heart not only for his family but for people in general. He had a personality that not everyone meshed with (which he didn't mind) Lol. He loved his family very much, Wife Dayna, his only Son Daniel, His Mother Neva and his Father Clyde. On Wednesday March 29th Randy took a fall at his home. He was rushed by ambulance to the emergency room where they needed to take a CT scan to determine what was injured. Due to his spinal stenosis it made it nearly impossible for him to lay flat without experiencing extreme pain as well as Randy struggled with claustrophobia. Due to these reasons he was unable to take the CT scan and was released from the hospital and went home. The next day Thursday, March 30th he was experiencing extreme pain and was unable to get out of his wheelchair. His family noticed that something was wrong and was very concerned because it was apparent that he had some sort of serious injury! As the day went on Randy's wife noticed that he was holding his neck in a very odd position as if he had a neck injury of some sort. His family convinced him that he needed to call 911. Once again he was rushed to the emergency room by ambulance. When he arrived at the hospital he was given some heavy painkillers to relax him so that he could take the CT scan. They took a scan of his chest but for some reason did not take a scan or look into other injuries like neck/back/spine. It was determined that he had several fractured ribs and was told that he would need to follow up with his regular doctor. His wife Dayna pleaded with the emergency room staff to admit him as she knew there was something seriously wrong! The emergency room staff told her that they would not admit him and that she needed to call home health care as there was nothing they could do for him. Shortly before Randy was released a nurse came in and gave Randy an injection of a very heavy drug and within minutes he was completely unresponsive and in a very deep sedation. So much so that his wife was unable to wake him up. The hospital discharge him. His wife Dayna drove him home and had to drive his wheelchair with him in it into the house. At this time he was still unresponsive. She tried several times to wake him up and was unable to do so. Due to the two previous nights of practically no sleep and the mix of the heavy painkillers She assumed that He was just in a deep sleep. His son arrived home around 4 AM and checked on Randy. His son noticed that his head seemed oddly positioned and he was in a very deep sleep. this would be the last time Randy was seen alive. At 10:30 AM on Friday, March 31 Dayna woke up and went downstairs to find that Randy was not breathing. 911 was called. Shortly after the paramedics arrived Randy was pronounced dead. This was extremely unexpected and traumatizing on his family especially his wife and son who found him. Randy did not have any prior arrangements or insurance of any kind. His family now needs help! They are going to be having a going home celebration and they need all of us to help! As most of you know it is not cheap to bury a loved one. The family has asked that in lou of flowers that you please make a donation. The total expenses are going to top $20,000 Including the independent autopsy thats going to cost over $5,000 Thank You All for taking the time to read this and share! God Bless
