Randy Blair Lyme's Treatment

Donation protected
Many know our story, but for those that don't....we are the Blair family. We have 3 beautiful little boys and a sweet chocolate lab. My husband, Randy Blair was unknowingly bitten by a tick in March of 2013. Upon noticing weird symptoms we went to the Dr and he was misdiagnosed several times, bounced around to several Dr's and specialists. In the midst of it all he WAS tested for Lymes but results came back negative and was therefore brushed off. It was 2 years before a naturopath Dr finally went off instinct and suggested further Lymes testing from a lab in Palo Alto. It was expensive and insurance wouldn't cover....but we did it not knowing what else to do. Results came back as positive for Lyme's with many co-infections. At this point Randy had gone through several flair ups, numerous trips to ER and lost his job being bed ridden for 3 months while I was pregnant with our 3rd child. We ended up being forced to file bankruptcy, lost our cars and had to sell our house and move in with family. Randy has been in and out of jobs due to his health and has not had a normal healthy lifestyle for 3 years. He currently has stage 3 Lymes which is very difficult and complex to treat as the disease attacks the immune system and embeds itself deep throughout the body. He's constantly tired, almost always sick and currently out of a job due to a combination of injury and layoff. We found a decent Dr in Washington in 2015  that seemed to be helping but he closed his practice in February 2016 due to cancer. We were back to square one. We began research for best Lyme doctors in the country as we are desperate for him to have his life back. We found one that seemed to fit in Minnesota. Not your traditional Lyme treatment but has shown very highly effective in getting folks back to living normal lives. We've prayed and prayed, he's had initial consultations via Skype/phone and this seems to be an answer to our prayers. However, travel is required and the cost is very high and not covered by insurance. We've come up with a huge majority of the cost ourselves via pulling from from retirement but are still finding ourselves short with no other options and hoping to make the trip for treatment in May while the airport is closed and I'm off work. Our goal to cover the remaining Treatment expense and minor travel costs is $3,500.00. We're so thankful for those who have helped so much along the way and those who may help moving forward. We're thankful even if you just read our story. God bless.
