Randy West Funeral
We created this GoFundMe for Randy Keith West, husband of Evelyn Coffey West of Columbus, Ohio who passed away on Thursday, July 16th. Evelyn is the sister of Betty Floyd of Colleyville, TX, sister of Johnny Coffey of Homer, La. and Aunt of Gerald Floyd and Jeremy Floyd.
Randy West was a survivor of a double transplant of 2009. Evelyn West who was the primary caregiver for her husband, was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2019 and is still recovering from surgery and chemo. While in the hospital with her cancer surgery, her husband contracted Legionaire's disease while visiting Evelyn in the hospital.
Although he recovered after weeks in the hospital and physical therapy, his lungs were further weakened causing him to have several stays this past year back into ICU suffering from pneumonia. Due to his long recovery from transplant surgery and contracting Legionnaire's disease, Randy passed away with no life or funeral policies.
As a high risk individual, Evelyn had to make the difficult decision to give up her job in the medical field. In lieu of flowers, we ask that anyone that would normally contribute flowers, contribute to the Go Fund Me fund set up to help offset these final arrangements made for Tuesday July 21 at O R. Woodyard Funeral Home, Columbus, Ohio.
The amount of the fund will be going solely to the funeral and memorial for Randy West. We thank you in advance for any amount, big or small, that you can donate. If you have any questions, please let me know.
