My name is Falon, eldest of his two daughters. I am raising money for my Dad Randy Wallace's funerary wishes. As many of you who knew my Dad as he was, before the ravages of his stroke, early onset Alzheimer's and finally COVID-19 had taken their toll.
Before he got sick, he and I already discussed his wishes we’d always been open about these things with one another. He wanted a simple cremation, and never expressed any desire for a funeral (and thanks to COVID-19 it wouldn’t be possible to have one anyway.) So here’s where I get to the point. He had never set up any sort of backup fund or insurance for this. I no longer have any savings, as I have been rendered jobless due to the pandemic and cannot come up with funds to follow his directive. Not without help.
As of right now his health continues to deteriorate and the place which cares for him has recently discussed the need to address these matters. Any aid which can be provided in getting my Dad's arrangements settled would be an immense help.
You know he had always been a strong, stubborn, viking of a human. And in saying that he never liked to ask for help. I know that he was profoundly grateful when it was offered to him, thank you to those that helped him in the past. He loved and cherished you. Even if pride prevented him from being too obvious about it. At his core he has always been an emotional bear of a guy, too gruff to let it show if he could help it.
But thank you, I hate to ask for him, and for myself. But even for reading this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
