Randy Sutherland Memorial Fund

My Pops, James Randall Sutherland, also known as “Randy Sutherland” and “JR Sutherland” passed on from this life last week on June 23rd at the age of 71. He leaves behind his wife, Kay Sutherland, and grand-daughter Emma Williams (10), who they are raising. Pops was an old soul and kept all the Sutherland family history alive throughout the years which has been passed down to me and will be to my children someday. This was evident had you ever gone into the house and saw family photo’s dating back to the 19th century. He was a 5th Generation Texan and a certified member of the Sons of the Republic of Texas. He loved telling old stories and talking about family history.

Pops and Mom made certain financial sacrifices to gain custody of Emma and provide for her a better life. He was a hardworking man and always took on extra jobs, whether trimming trees or working security to provide for our family while growing up. This is a testament to the man my father was. We are looking to raise $5,000 to help with the cost of cremation and a memorial to be had in July/August. Any additional money raised will go to help Kay with the mortgage and monthly bills.

Your prayers, love and support during this difficult time are not going unnoticed. I truly appreciate each one of you over the years and especially in this time of need.  

May Pops soul rest in eternal peace.
