Randy St.Clair Medical Expenses and Financial Hardships

Hello, my name is Rachel St.Clair. My Dad is Randy St.Clair. He has been going through major medical issues the past year and half. It all started from a Endoscopy in October 2022 that fractured his jaw and he went through multiple episodes of Osteomyelitis (bone infection) of the right jaw. Unfortunately, his jaw was damaged from this due to staff not being careful and knowing his past history of cancer with radiation & chemo. His right side of his jaw was unremarkable before this procedure. None of the hospitals caught that his jaw was fractured from the post Endoscopy. As of 4 weeks ago his jaw is broken which was discovered by his jaw specialist. He will need to go to UF Shands to have a titanium plate in his jaw and he is on the wait list. My Dad unfortunately had to get emergency surgery yesterday 04/03/24 for a different medical issue called Spontaneous Diverticulitis with a bowel perforation of the sigmoid colon. When the surgeon went in during surgery the infection and perforation was much worse than they expected. He has never had a history of diverticulitis. My Dad’s incision is from his sternum down to his pelvic area. He has a NG tube, PICC line, PCA pump, foley catheter and Colostomy bag for the next 6 weeks. Once the 6 weeks pass he can get the colostomy reversed. He is in a lot of pain from this procedure. He is currently on a Sepsis Watch, they are monitoring his vitals and labs. He has a very long road to recovery. He will need home health care once he gets out of the hospital. I made this gofund me for my Dad who is going to need help with medical expenses and financial hardships my parents are going to be facing. He is unable to work. My Dad is well known in pinellas county and the State of Florida previously worked at Largo Fire, Sunstar, PCSO Swat Medic, and Lieutenant State Fire Marshal. He has helped a lot of people and has saved many lives. My Dad is an amazing person and it breaks my heart to see him go through all of this after surviving Stage 4 Oropharyngeal Cancer 10 years ago. He is a fighter and has one of the biggest hearts. Please share and donate if you can.
