Randy and his wife Kathy Parrett were taken by Ambulance to the hospital on December 9th with Covid. Kathy has since recovered but had to have back surgery February 28th. Randy remains in a Cincinnati hospital with severe complication’s. Kathy has been making the long commute to be with her soulmate never knowing what tomorrow will bring. She is also working at Miami and has a business cleaning houses but the impact of loosing Randy’s income has become too much for one person even with two full time jobs.
Randy’s long list of complications include several surgery’s, having a Trachea, a lung collapsed with a hole in it, sever infection through his whole body, paralysis in a his arms and legs, a feeding tube and he coded taking the doctors 3 minutes to bring him back. Randy has been unable to speak until recently when a valve that allows him to speak was put in.
While in one of the 3 hospitals he has been transported to a nurse took the opportunity to mentally abuse Randy in his helpless state. These are not all of the complications Randy has survived, there were to many to list. With all that Kathy and Randy have been through the end is still not in site. Someone hit Kathy’s car during her commute to see Randy, she has been in pain for a long time with her back, continuing to work through the pain and now surgery along with other struggles. She is facing a 6 week recovery herself and the doctors still aren’t sure how long it will take Randy to recover.
The amount of hurt and suffering Kathy and Randy have endured during these last months may bring some to their breaking point but Kathy still smiles and greets people with kindness. No one would ever know the physical, emotional pain and stress she was dealing with. She wouldn’t ask for help for herself or Randy because they have always done it on their own. I admire her dedication to her husband and family and her work ethic.
This is why I am asking for your assistance to ease the financial burden that one person working even two jobs could not maintain. My hope for both of them is to recover medically, financially and emotionally living their lives together happy, heathy and secure.
