Randy Moder Electric Chair
Donation protected
My husband, Randy Moder, has spent a lifetime fighting for justice and equality for the little guys. He could use some help now. Randy was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy when he was 4 years old. He was able to walk until he finished college. He would push a manual wheelchair around campus with his books in the chair. After college for 35 years he was able to utilize a 3 wheel Amigo wheelchair. Slowly his disease stole his abilities one by one. His ability to play pool, play the guitar, drive and be independent were slowly lost.
Randy first worked at a local nursing home as a social worker helping residents and families deal with the many challenges they faced. He then went back to school and completed his law degree. He worked in his small hometown again helping those who couldn't necessarily afford a big city lawyer. He did pro bono work and even bartered with some clients for payment by allowing them to pay through fixing a roof or doing other odd jobs. He has always sought justice for the little guy.
A year ago Randy had a stroke and a heart attack. It was devastating. He fought back but was unable to use his Amigo wheelchair again. Through Medicare he is able to get the electric chair he needs. It is fitted for him and will allow him some independence again.
Randy needs your help though if possible. The out of pocket portion of the cost of his chair is over 4600.00.
If anyone can give even a small amount it would be so appreciated. If you can't give maybe you could take a second and share this page for others to see. Thank you so much for taking the time to read.
