Hi I am Tanya Burke Randy's cousin, and I am putting this go fund me together to help our good friend to so many. Here is a little story about Randy, and his sudden and far too early passing;
Randy Gillmore Story, Final Chapter; DOD 6/9/22

Many of you may know that our friend, Suspension Tuner, Mechanic, General Contractor, Trail Blazing Worker and Trail Guide from Baja to Iowa has fallen on yet another health crisis. On Saturday evening the 28th of May into the following Sunday after working in his garage preparing his brand new motorcycle for the first break-in ride the next morning, Randy went to bed feeling a bit out-of-sorts but soon realized that he needed his cousin to help him get to the hospital. Turned out that Randy’s self-assessment was even more serious than he had thought as Randy’s condition was not good at all, there was a MRSA infection in his blood. While in the hospital Randy suffered a massive stroke.
Over this past week there has been both signs of improvement by relocating Randy from ICU to the standard cardiac floor and some but very limited hand gesture-only communication. Unfortunately, Randy’s breathing pattern and continued infection led him back to the ICU to be more closely monitored.
As you might imagine, this story is very limited regarding all that has happened to Randy physically as well as mentally. Randy is one of the toughest guys I know, he will never complain but has gone through so much, a punctured lung from an undetected Vienna sausage size tree branch lodged in his lung from several years ago that was bleeding and leaking for a year before it was finally found and removed resulting in the removal of almost half of one lung, he already had an artificial heart valve. While riding fast as Randy is known to do, he clipped something on the trail that pitched him violently into a very steep bank. Randy broke ribs, a collar bone and caused some very major internal damage that put him into the Hospital ICU and Isolation with infections, including MRSA, and now this.

Randy was “called home” today as some say, to rest in peace now to eternity. We all know that Randy would not be happy or content with limited bodily and mind function, or to think others would need to pay for and / or continue with the burden and immense care injuries of this magnitude require.
Randy always worked and worked hard, days, nights and weekends. He was the best at everything he did but seemingly all of that, and some tough darn luck, finally took a toll on his body as well as his brain. Randy would never ask anyone for financial assistance, and we all know that if we asked for his help, it would be given in a heartbeat. At this time, his family is grieving and caught with some unexpected financial obligations. Let’s all come together to support what Randy left behind.
Please help as you can to support this fundraising effort. The money will be used to help his family with memorial arrangements and unexpected expenses. Randy’s spirit lives on in all those that he shared his life with, especially his cousins children who embraced him as their grandfather. Randy’s wish would be to have them enjoy the sport just as much as he did. Any excess funds will be used to keep his spirit alive through them.
