Randy Fitzpatrick needs our prayers and help right now
Donation protected
Hi, this is Duane and Cynthia Slaney and we are doing a fundraiser for our 1st cousin and friend, Randy Fitzpatrick. Randy has had many medical issues in the past including a heart transplant 30 years ago. Randy has been knocked down many times but always gets up swinging and stronger than ever. However, this time he has been knocked down and needs a lot of help. The sickness this time has nothing to do with his heart but a fall he took preparing for the fishing season. What started as an infection from a cut from his fall, has infected his whole body. Doctors are fighting to stop this infection and hopefully fully reverse it. Presently Randy has been admitted to the Health Sciences now for 70 plus days. Randy is immobile and in need of our prayers and some financial assistance. Starting yesterday Randy had to be placed in a Hyperbaric Chamber for therapy for 2-3 hours per day for the foreseeable future. This infection is slowly affecting all his organs. The hope is for treatment to start stabilizing him enough to start his recovery which will be many months in the hospital.
Randy is not the type to ask for help or even let people know he is in the hospital. Although he don’t ask for anything, he would be the first to help someone in need.
As a result of all his issues, Randy has loss his full fishing season and with no income his personal and medical bills continue to climb. As I seen in my visit to him, he still has his sense of humour but words can’t describe how tired, run down and exhausted he looked. But Randy said that he will fight til his last breath.
So please if you are a family member, friend, a fellow fisher person or just someone with a good heart, please help us to raise some funds to at least relieve Randy from the stress of worrying about bills and help him to focus on his main goal, surviving.
Any donation great or small will be greatly appreciated.
