Randy Black Recovery

Donation protected
On Thursday 4/11 my grandfather Randy Black was rushed from the Red Lodge ER and was admitted into the ICU at the Billings Clinic Hospital. After being rushed into surgery it was confirmed that he had Necrotizing Fasciitis aka Flesh Eating Bacteria. He had to have part of his thumb and a lot of skin removed from his fingers, hand and up his forearm. Yesterday 4/17 he was flown to the Denver Burn Center. My grandma and great aunt drove to Denver and got there today. My grandfather's doctor at the burn center has made it very clear that this is a very slow recovery process. She informed my grandma that it will take up to 3 months, and depending on how things go it could be longer. As of right now, the plan is to continue to make sure the infection doesn't spread and to save his hand. Then they will start doing skin grafts and reconstructive surgery. The funds raised will be used for lodging, transportation, necessities needed, and medical bills.
