Randy Black Cancer Battle Fund
Donation protected
Randy Black is the current chairman of the Iowa Democratic Wing Ding. He is a advocate for progressive ideals, and a caring wonderful friend and husband. He worked for many year for Hy-Vee and earned the designation of “Hy-Vee Legend”. You can still find his image on the side of Hy-Vee trailers today as they cross the byways of the midwest.
Randy was diagnosed with Thymic Carcinoma, a cancer that affects the outside surface of the thymus, a small organ than lies in the upper chest. It developed into a malignant tumor that affected his heart and lung. This type of cancer is very rare and there are very few known instances of it in medical literature world wide.
Randy has undergone surgery to remove a large portion of the tumor, but some of it had to be left behind. This means that Randy will have to continue to undergo chemotherapy and targeted radiation treatments for many months and possibly years to come.
The money we are raising will be used to help Randy and Joey pay for medical expenses, and meet their day to day obligations. No person can ever be prepared for the enormous costs associated with this kind of disaster. We as Randy’s Friends want to help him stay financially stable, and give him the best possible chance of winning this battle.
