Randolph-Macon Softball is stepping up to the plate for something bigger than the game.
This season, our first annual Strikeout Cancer Game carries a meaning that hits especially close to home. One of our own, Brileigh Bass, has recently been diagnosed with ependymoma, a rare form of brain and spinal cord tumor. As teammates, friends, and family, we are rallying around her with the same determination, heart, and fight that define our program.
Through this special game, we are raising funds for the Ependymoma Research Foundation to support critical research and advocacy for those affected by this rare disease. We are also proud to support the Colon Cancer Coalition, an organization dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and advancing prevention and screening efforts for colon cancer.
Cancer has touched so many lives within our community and beyond. The Strikeout Cancer Game is our way of supporting survivors, remembering loved ones, and standing with those who are still currently battling.
Your support will help fund life-saving research, provide resources to families, and bring us closer to a future without cancer. If you are able, please consider donating and sharing this page. Together, we can turn compassion into action and make an impact that reaches far beyond the softball field.
Thank you for standing with Randolph-Macon Softball as we fight for everyone who has been affected by cancer.
