PLEASE KEEP THIS A SURPRISE!

I have gone back and forth about doing this a lot the last couple of days, and I have decided that I want to show Randi how much love and support her community has for her. 
As most of you know, Randi recently had a robbery at her apartment. The night before her birthday! They stole many things, some replaceable, and many that are not. But mostly, they stole Randi's ability to feel safe and comfortable in her home. Insurance will cover some of what was stolen, but since she also went through a house fire a couple years ago, she knows the uphill battle she is up against right now. I want to raise this money for a deposit, first, last, moving costs, etc.... so she can get into a new, safe place. 
Randi is one of the most independent people I know and I know she can get through this on her own, but I have had several people ask how they can help, and I thought this would be a great time to show Randi how much we all love and appreciate her.
Randi has been an amazing friend to me over the last 13 years. She has supported me through some of my hardest times and I know she has done the same for many of you. 
Randi has a strong opposition to gofundme, as a matter of fact, she made mugs that said "Go Fund Yourself!" Haha....  It is possible that Randi will be very annoyed with me, but I am willing to take that risk in order to help her feel secure through this transition.
