On June 19th Randi was struck in a head-on collision by a driver who admitted to being under the influence of herion. The driver was traveling at approximately 65 mph when he hit her. Randi was traveling below the posted speed limit of 45 mph and had slammed on her brakes. This means that the impact was somewhere in the neighborhood of 90-100 mph combined speeds. Luckily this happened in front of several Highway Patrol officers who were on the scene immediately to assist her.

Randi suffered a broken clavicle, shattered calcaneus (heel bone) in her right foot, cracked sternum, cracked ribs, cracked sacrum and a bone spur in her wrist. She spent two weeks in the hospital and had two surgeries, one to repair her clavicle with a plate and nine screws and another ten days later to repair her shattered calcaneus with a plate and multiple screws. She will not be able to walk until sometime in October and it will be many months before she will be able to return to work as a massage therapist.

Randi has received an outpouring of support from friends, family and her loving partner Michael. Unfortunately Randi has reached the point now where she needs financial support as well. Medical bills, regular bills and other expenses are starting to pile up and without the ability to work she is unable to meet these challenges.

Randi has carefully budgeted out the next few months. $5500 will help her stay afloat until then, covering her monthly bills and the medical bills that are adding up. If we can all, as a loving community chip in a few dollars each she will be able to get by until she can stand on her own again, financially and physically.
