Hello friends,
My name is Randi. I’m a Junior at Colby College, currently majoring in Studio Art: Digital Media and English: Creative Writing, with a minor in Cinema Studies. My dream is to become a professional screenplay writer, and director. When I'm not working towards this dream, I'm a proud member of the Colby Women's Rugby Football Club.
I started this campaign in hopes of being able to raise enough funds to support the continuation of my academic journey at Colby College. As some of you may know, I’m a QuestBridge Scholar. QuestBridge is a needs based scholarship that allows underprivileged students the opportunity to pursue higher education at colleges, such as Colby College. As a QuestBridge scholar, I’m given the opportunity to fulfill the remaining balance of unpaid tuition that my scholarship doesn't cover through a work study agreement. However, in order to do so (as someone who doesn’t own my own vehicle) I’m limited to working on campus, student jobs, with limited, competitive, open positions. Unfortunately, this semester I’ve had no luck with securing a second campus job, in addition to the writing tutor job I currently hold. With what my finances allow, I try to make tuition payments as much as possible, yet this semester I’m still behind.
Should my balance go unpaid, I will not be permitted to register for housing or courses, for the 2026-2027 academic year. As the deadline for housing and course registration approaches, I’ve been forced to swallow my pride and ask for help. While it’s not something I’m comfortable doing, I’m asking for any donation that will grant me the opportunity to finish my last year at Colby. All donations are going directly towards my final tuition payments. Any amount is beyond appreciated.
The last day for me to pay my outstanding balance is April 17th. To allow for funds to be transferred in time for the deadline, the campaign will be closing 2 days in advance, April 15th.
