UPDATE: Wayne's memorial service will be on March 23, 2023 at the Holiday Inn in Southaven. I'll update the additional details once they're secured. We held our grandmothers service there & it was really nice. We hope everyone that would like to be there can make it.

Hi Everyone! If there wasn't a need, we wouldn't have to create the fundraiser...so here we go. My brother, Wayne Rice also known as Randall, Bruce Wayne, Wizzle, Wayne The Pain, Wayner, Skippy and so many other names that we all lovingly gave him, passed away on January 19, 2024. Wayne battled a challenging illness & we sadly lost him after a very difficult month. He was so sick & God showed His mercy & took him home without him having to continue to struggle. He's now reunited with his wife, Renae, who he loved & missed so much. He was a great son, awesome brother, incredible uncle & an amazing friend.

Wayne brought so much joy & laughter to everyone around him. He had a natural ability for turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories with his infectious laughter and hilarious sense of humor...some of which could be a little obnoxious and annoying at times, but we all loved him for it anyway. Though he faced a tough battle with illness, let's remember him for the happiness that he brought to all of our lives.

To honor his larger than life personality, we'd like to give him the farewell he deserves. We are raising funds for his final expenses & a legendary memorial service. Your support will help create an awesome tribute to a life well-lived. Someone like Wayne who was the literal 'Life of the Party' is someone that deserves a 'Party of a Lifetime'. Your contribution will help create the best tribute possible to celebrate the laughs, love, support, and unforgettable memories that Wayne shared with us all. Thank you for being a part of his life. Wayne was loved by so many, way more than I believe he ever actually knew.

We're planning to have a memorial service for him in March. We'd like to allow our family to have some time to grieve before the service & give anyone that would like to attend plenty of notice to make arrangements to be there. Plus, we all know that the weather can be a little sketchy in February & honestly given some time in between it won't be so depressing. Wayne wasn't one for wanting to see the people that he loved sad & he'd never want that for his memorial. We're tentatively hoping to have the service March 16th or 23rd, possibly sooner if we can make it happen. We'll let everyone know for sure once all of the details are secured.
