The tenant in the condo two floors below us left food cooking unattended on their stove, which caused a fire. The fire engulfed their unit, the unit above, and the unit above that (ours). Our condo was completely unsaveable, to the point where they need to gut it down to the studs and rebuild it. We lost everything. Thanks to ours, our passports, birth and marraige certificiates, and insurance information was all unharmed.
