Hi there! I'm Ramsay, and if you're reading this, you're probably a friend, loved one, or you might know me from Wild Weirdo Creations. First of all—thank you for being here.

My road to get here has been long. It was over a decade ago that I first went to a doctor for gender dysphoria. They were, unfortunately, unsympathetic and under-educated on the topic, leaving me to spend many more years trying to access care without successfully receiving the care I needed via the conventional medical path .

At last, I'm finally on the verge of receiving top surgery. (Yay!) However, this has only come with going down the path of private medical care. This means I’ll be needing to fund this procedure independently, and I’m reaching out for some help from my community (you!).

Over the years I’ve done my best to access gender care in a way that would fulfill my need to feel at home within my own body.

It's difficult to articulate the dissociation that can occur when your body doesn’t feel like home. So much of the work I’ve dedicated my life to revolves around how to feel embodied and connected to oneself - and I’ve known for many years now how essential to my wellbeing and embodiment this surgery is.

I’m looking forward to being able to re-focus on other aspects of my life and work without this source of distress hanging overhead - and finally completing a journey that began over a decade ago.

For financial transparency, the total costs include:

- Travel expenses & accommodation

- The surgery itself

- Medical fees

- Post-operative care

- 6-12 week long recovery time (during which I'll be unable to work)
