I have exciting news! I have recently been accepted to do a Discipleship Training School (DTS) at Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in Orlando, FL in April! Since my graduation from London School of Theology (LST) seven months ago I have been constantly seeking after God's will for this new chapter of life. In my final year I felt a growing desire for a practical opportunity to begin to apply all that I had been learning at college. Through much prayer and processing I feel that this is what is next for me.
Youth with a Mission is a Christian missions organisation which focuses on teaching, training and sending out followers of Jesus all over the world to bring the hope of Christ to the nations and to minister his love in many practical ways. The DTS is a five month programme which consists of a three month lecture and training phase followed by a two month outreach phase. At the moment the potential outreach locations are Indonesia and South Africa.
I am excited to see what the Lord does in and through me in this new season and I want to invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this. I have already raised the majority of funds for the training phase however I am currently fundraising for the following:
- Outreach phase (inc. flights, accomodation and food)
- US Visa and flights (rather integral!)
- Travel insurance (important if you know the Stewart family!)
- Living costs (Laundry, snacks, toiletries and travel expenses)
The outreach phase is variable in cost depending on location. Given this I have listed the maximum amount I would potentially need to raise. I currently need to raise £4500 ($6247)! This is no small amount, and one that I cannot raise alone.
