Help! I'm uninsured, disabled, and recently widowed.

Shortly after the Superbowl I was having dinner with my mother when I received a call from my neighbor that my backyard was on fire and she had just called 911.

I raced home to find six fire engines already there. My garage was engulfed in flames with fire roaring high above the rooftops. The firefighters quickly put it out but not before it had done major damage. My garage with all its contents was completely destroyed and major damage had been done to my house.

Immediately after the Rams won the Superbowl, fans began lighting fireworks to celebrate all around the Los Angeles area. Unfortunately, this was the cause of my house fire according to my neighbors who witnessed fireworks being lit across the street from my house moments before the fire broke out.

What makes this tragedy particularly difficult for me is that I do not have fire insurance, am disabled, and was in the midst of planning a memorial for my husband of 40 years who passed away suddenly.

I'm only raising money to repair my house. Due to lack of funds I will not rebuild my garage. Your donation, no matter how small, would sincerely be appreciated.
