What Happened?
On August 9th at 11:36 AM, my husband, Ram Mohan, suddenly suffered a stroke. We rushed him to Saint Alexis Hospital, where the doctors examined him and confirmed it was a stroke. When they took a CT scan of his brain, they saw active bleeding. Since there were no neurologists available, they quickly prepared Ram for transfer to another hospital.

At the next hospital, they repeated the CT scan after some time. Sadly, the bleeding had not slowed down — it had doubled. The doctors then suggested an emergency left craniotomy surgery to remove the blood. They told us the chances of success were very low. With God’s grace, the surgery went well, and Ram was placed in the ICU.

However, the doctors could not remove all the blood. The amount of blood inside his brain after surgery was the same as what was shown in the 11:36 CT scan. To control his blood pressure, the doctors placed Ram into a medical coma. He is still in the ICU, and as a family, we are uncertain about where he might be moved next and if insurance would support any transfer to another facility.

The road ahead is very long. The doctors have told me the chances of him waking up and recognizing his loved ones are very small. Since the bleeding happened in the part of the brain that controls language, it is very unlikely that he will be able to speak again. Because the bleeding was on the left side of the brain, his right side has been significantly affected.

The doctors suggested transferring him to a long-term care hospital, as it will take a very long time — if we are lucky — for him to wake up and start recovering. Unfortunately, our insurance denied the long-term care recommendation.

We are in a very difficult situation. Any donations you can provide will go directly toward Ram’s treatment and care.

About Ram:
Ram is a loving husband and a devoted family man. He has always been the pillar of our family, working hard every single day to provide and to ensure that we never lack anything. Ram is known for his kindness and his willingness to help anyone in need. He is someone who always puts his family first and stands by his friends in difficult times. His dreams were simple — to live a peaceful life, to see his family happy, and to watch his loved ones succeed.

Why help Ram?
Ram is still fighting for his life. He is in a medical coma, and every day is critical. His recovery process will be long, uncertain, and very expensive. He will need ongoing medical care, rehabilitation, and support.

What can you do?
The journey to recovery is filled with challenges. The costs for emergency care, ICU stay, and potential long-term rehabilitation are overwhelming for our family. We are reaching out with humble hearts to ask for your support.
Any contribution, big or small, will help us give Ram the treatment he needs. Even if you cannot donate, please share this campaign with others who may be able to help.

How will the funds be used?
The funds raised will go directly to covering Ram’s emergency medical expenses, ICU stay, rehabilitation, and future long-term care needs.
Your kindness and generosity will give our family strength during this devastating time.
