Bruce's Handicapped Ramp
Donation protected
After an almost 4 year battle with an incurable infection in my left foot that had spread to the bone, I had to make the decision to amputate my leg. While I've managed to cover with insurance many of the medical expenses, in order to be independent, I need to have a handicapped ramp constructed at my home so that I get to my truck and eventually, back to work. While I am working with friends and my family to access community volunteer organizations (i.e. Community Toolbox ) to build the ramp, we will need to supply the wood, which it is estimated yo cost between $4,000 and $6,000. With the snows coming, without a ramp it will be nearly impossible for me to get around.
Below are pictures of the front and back where the ramp would be built. Further down is a picture of me after the surgery. Currently I'm relying on family who live out of state and local friends to get from the house to my truck. The sooner I am able to purchase the wood, the sooner I am able to work back towards independence. Thank you for any help you can provide! Bruce Ogden
