Teen Dolphin Camp

Ramona Moon was born in 2001 with spina bifida  which is a complex neuro-muscular disability that affects almost every organ of the body.  Ramona has no muscle-function below the knee and so she bombs around in her wheelchair.

Ramona's dream is to become a dolphin trainer.  She has an opportunity to attend a 7-Day Teen Dolphin Camp at the Dolphin Research Center in the Florida Keys.  The program is a combination of classroom and hands-on activites in the areas of dolphin intelligence, dolphin physiology, husbandry, maternity, and captive marine mammal care.  There are opportunities to swim and interact with the dolphins, even assiting some of the on-going dolphin research projects at the Center.

Eventhough Ramona lives in northern British Columbia, she dreams of warm tropical waters filled with dolphins she can love.

Please help support Ramona!!  Donations will go toward the 5-Day Program tuition fee ($2000), airfare to Florida ($2500), hotel/food/car rental ($1500) & the addition 5% ($500) fee for funding with "Go Fund Me"!!
