Hi friends,

As you know, Ramona's been looking after me for the last 11 years (well, maybe 10... she was a very destructive puppy.) So this week I'm happy to say I was able to return the favor.

Ramona wasn't herself on Friday so I thought it would be good to make sure she was ok - I took her to the vet (along with my good friend Olivia, who has been at every visit along the way!) and got some bad news: she had some pretty bad pneumonia. However, it didn't seem super dire, they thought she would probably recover in a couple of days. But it got a LOT worse.

Saturday she almost didn't make it. Luckily at this point she was already in intensive care, and the doctors did all they could. (We saw the X-rays yesterday... they were, as the doctor called them, "horrifying.") She managed to get through Saturday, and by Sunday she was already eating, which is phenomenal. And even though she apparently still has "horrifying" x-rays, they say because she's clinically doing so well, she can come home. 

I do have some pretty "horrifying" bills as a result and some wonderful friends have asked if they can pitch in. If you feel like helping out with a couple bucks, Ramona and I would be very grateful.
