Hello my name is Olivia Pizano I am an assistant wreslting coach to Ramona Jimenez. The staff and team are looking to raise funds for one of our athletes in need. Ramona recently suffered a stroke during her first day of competing at the college national dual tournament in Iowa. Competing before hand and winning a match for her team, Ramona competed through another match entirely before she was sat down due to some confusion and fatigue. Shortly there after she was rushed to the emergency room and then airlifted to emergency surgery to remove a blood clot in her brain.

She fully recovered after a number of tests and days in the hospital and was able to spend time at home before returning to school.

We are so happy to have Ramona back on campus and in the practice room to support her team, but due to this event she will not be able to finish her season or return to work.

Ramona is a full time student, a full time athlete, and worked two jobs while exceeding in both of those areas.

With a financial burden of family travel to hospital visits, leave from work, and any uncovered medical bills we would like to help support this wrestler as she recovers to her best self.
