Update 7/25

Ramon was was released from the facility recently and was able to be home for his birthday. He is still going through rehab but is able to get around with a walker. 

Thank you again for all your help. We now have over $4000 in aid for Ramon. Please continue to help by passing this information on as there are still many of his friends and relatives who are unaware of what had happened.

Update. 7/1

When I was visiting Ramon, he was being transferred to the hospital due to some complications. He is back in post-acute care now. 

Thank you everybody for your support. So far we’ve raised about $3500 but he still has a long way to go. We’re still looking to hit our goal. Please give if you can.

Hi. My name is Christine, one of Ramon Garcia’s close friends for over 30 years. Ramon has been the kindest, and sweetest friend a person could ever have. He’s always been there for me and all his friends and now I ask of all his friends and those who care to be there for him in his time of need.

 

Ramon had gone missing earlier in June. No one knew of his whereabouts nor was he returning any of his calls. It was about 15 days before I learned that Ramon was followed and viscously beaten in front of his house in the middle of the night. His injuries are so severe that he had to undergo emergency surgery and is still unable to walk.  He is now in rehab with a broken neck and it is going to take at best 8 months of therapy before he can hopefully get back to normal. In the meanwhile, I am sure the bills are racking up for him. 

Ramon would never ask for help so I am asking for him. Please help Ramon with whatever you can, whether it is monetary or with gestures of caring and be there for when he needs things done. Together we can help him get through this setback.
