Ramiro "Ram" Guerrero (Senior Softball Plaver with Alamo City Heat) - Ramiro is currently in ICU after a direct hit to his head from a throw to first base. The morning of Saturday, April 1st, 2023, at the 2023 Chili Pepper Classic in El Paso, TX. During the first game while running to second base Ram was hit by a throw to first base on the top of his head. EMS arrived and stabilized Ram, rushed him to the Emergency room at El Paso's Providence East Hospital, where is currently in ICU. Anyone that knows Ram and his family knows his love of this game, he was 100% doing what he loves.
We are all devasted and heartbroken to leave our teammate and brother in El Paso we know he is in good hand with the ICU staff, his wife and son by his side. Ram is a devoted husband to his wife Veronica of 35 years, with four children and eight grandchildren.
We are asking for your prayers for recovery, prayers for this family to stay strong and prayers for the staff at El Paso's Providence East ER and ICU. This recovery will take months and we want his family to be able to focus on his recovery and not mounting medical and financial expenses.
This GoFundMe is to help with expenses while his wife stays by his side in El Paso and once Ram can return to San Antonio for continue care. If you know Ramiro and Veronica, you know they always bought a ticket or donated to countless fundraisers to help others. This is our time to help them during their time of need. These donations will go directly to his wife to use as needed. Both Veronica and Ram have cared for family and extended family in their time of need with medical expense, housing, and devoted care. LET US SHOW THEM WE GOT THEM NOW!
