We need help from our family and friends to help lay Ramiro Quinones to rest on December 22, 2016 at Luz de Paz Funeral Home at 426 East Washington Ave Bridgeport, CT from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. Burial following at Park Cemetery Bridgeport, CT.
Ramiro Quinones sunrise was August 4, 1971 , but his sunset came too soon on December 11, 2016 when he took his own life. Who is ever ready for the passing of someone we love. His sudden death brought sadness, longing for last I love yous’ so many questions and an unimaginable financial strain. It’s hard to understand why someone would go to this extreme if you did not understand pain, mental health, addition, despair, and the feeling of doom. My brother Ramiro suffered with chronic pain since the age of 4/5 years old. He had many health complications resulting in countless surgeries with no resolution. They were quick fixes that didn’t last so he suffered in silence his whole life. Our mom Carmen Gonzalez Perez (Quinones) and his wife Jeannine were the only ones that knew about the extent of his pain and suffering, The older he got the harder it was to manage the pain as far as we could determine. There had been an extreme change in him in the week preceeding his death; and signs in hensight that we should have seen and it causes such sorrow and heart ache.
Jeannine and Ramiro were married for 17+ years ago, but their relationship was one that navigated both calm and troubled waters their entire life together. His joys were his family and his work and his dogs. He lost his job in 2012 and that really was the beginning of the end... with nothing to do during the days his disabilities compounded to near immobility. In his last days he had trouble moving around, walked with a cane, and was unable to stand for any extended period of time.
He was someone who would help others whenever he could. His life revolved around his family and there were many good times. Ramiro is survived by his wife Jeannine Apicella-Quinones their Chihuahua Tyson; our mom Carmen Gonzalez Perez (Quinones) from Stamford, CT; his brother Juan Luis Quinones his wife Caren Cotto Quinones and their son Benjamin from Palm Coast Florida; three nieces Carmen Christina Nieves and her Finance Alex Aviles and their daughter Lillyanna Aviles and son Alex Aviles, Jr.; Stephanie Ann Nieves-Pagan and her Husband Eluit Pagan and their son Benito Pagan, Victoria Marie Nieves, her son Isaiah Sierra and her boyfriend Robert James Rodriguez among many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
My sister in law Jeannine is someone who helps so many and is always involved in activities that help others. It is hard to imagine what she is going through and with our families limited resources to help lay him to rest.
Jeannine loving called "Aunti" by her great niece, grea nephews and other children who know her. She is loved by so many and now needs us all right now; physically, emotional and spiritually. On behalf of our family we ask that you help us in any way you can. Keep us in prayer, reach out to us even if just to say hello, and if you can please help us financial to help put Ramiro to Rest.
Respectfully;
Carmen A. Nieves (sister), her husband Victor M. Nieves and our daughters; Carmen, Stephanie, & Victoria.
