Ramesan Cherichal (Ramesan Chettan)

Dear friends,

You may already know that Ramesan Cherichal (61 years old), known as Ramesan Chettan and loved by many of us, passed away on the night of August 15th in Southmead hospital in Bristol. The cause of death was sudden stroke followed by cardiac arrest. He has two children (Drupad, 19 years, Kashyap, 17 years). After his wife died of cancer two years ago, the children have been living with their father in Bristol. The emotional impact that the unexpected demise of their father has on these children is indescribable. As compassionate human beings, living in the same diaspora community and caring for others, it is our duty to stand with Ramesan Chettan's family during this difficult time. To that end, we earnestly request each and every one of you to join hands with the £25,000 fundraiser initiated by Briska and contribute generously.

This BrisKA (Bristol Keralites Association) fundraising initiative is to help Ramesan's sons (Drupad and Kashyap) to meet funeral expenses and also to act as a helping fund to support their education and other living expenses as they are left with no regular income. BrisKA will be receiving the funds from this fundraiser and will be paying for the funeral and then transfer the balance to Drupad and Kashyap once the fundraiser is completed.
