2K Run To Support Our Revert Sisters This Ramadan
The 16th East London Scout Girls are proud to launch a heartfelt campaign to support our beloved revert sisters, who face unique challenges during Ramadan. For many of us, Ramadan is a time of togetherness and family, but for revert sisters, it can be a lonely and overwhelming time, especially when observing their first fasts and navigating a new way of worship.
To raise funds for this cause, the Scout Girls will be completing a 2K run as part of their effort to create Blessing Bundles for our revert sisters. These bundles will include Ramadan essentials, thoughtful gifts, and Islamic resources such as duaa books and guidance materials to help them on their journey as new Muslims. Our aim is to provide comfort, support, and a sense of belonging, easing the challenges of loneliness and showing them that they are truly a part of our community.
There are hundreds of new Muslims in our community, and Ramadan is one of the most prominent times when people embrace Islam. By contributing to this campaign, you will not only be supporting this meaningful cause but also fulfilling the beautiful teachings of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who said:
“Whoever helps his brother in his time of need, Allah will be there in his time of need.” (Saheeh Muslim)
He ﷺ also said:
“Give each other gifts, and you will love each other.”
Let’s come together as a community to make a difference in the lives of our revert sisters. Please donate generously to support this initiative and share this campaign with your family and friends to spread the word.
JazakAllahu Khayran
