Ralph's Surgery - January 4th @ 08:00AM

If you are here reading this, just want to say thanks and any effort you make to either donate or share and raise awareness is greatly appreciated.

This is one of the hardest messages I have ever had to write, and despite how easy it is to setup a GoFundMe and ask for help, I did not want to do this but I have no choice.

I am asking for $2000 to cover the remaining cost of the surgery for my dog Ralphie, which is a $5000 surgery. In 2023, I moved into a new house and elevated my expenses, which is great and an improvement to my life but on top of this throughout 2022/2023 I have spent almost $10,000 on veterinary care and appointments, including emergency visits and consultations and I can cover most of the surgery myself but I can not wait any longer and jeopardize Ralph's health any more then it already has been. I have a great job, and I am doing well for myself but this is putting me under water.

I brought Ralphie home in June of 2022, and he has been such a great addition to my life, and unfortunately he has encountered some health issues that stem from brachycephalic breed related issues.

After going through countless vet consultations and medication changes, we finally found the source of the issue by going to Penn Medicine and getting a swallow study done and we found out Ralphie needs to get a surgery done to increase flow within his airway as well as trim his soft palette down so that food can more easily pass through his system, the main issue that has stemmed from this diagnosis is that Ralphie struggles to breath while chewing and eating and then regurgitates his food, this surgery would change all of that for him.

I have scheduled the surgery for 8am on January 4th, 2024.
