Ralph’s Rattlesnake Bite Recovery
Donation protected
Please meet Ralph - a real life hero. Ralph was out hiking with his parents, Steph and Ryan, and his brother, Henry, when the unimaginable happened...a rattlesnake encounter. Ralph saw that his family was in imminent danger and stepped in front of his parents and brother, courageously shielding them from a potentially lethal snake bite. With his heroic action, Ralph unfortunately took the hit and was bit by the snake.
Steph and Ryan were 2.5 miles into the hike when this happened, but that didn’t stop them from picking up Ralph and running him all the way to the top of the trail while taking turns. Thankfully, they encountered several good samaritans along the way who offered to help take turns running/driving Ralph to safety. The fire department was able to meet them at the top of the trail and help transport Ralph to the nearest emergency vet clinic that could administer him anti-venom. Since this happened on April 5, Ralph has been in and out of the emergency vet clinic and experiencing some highs, and some very scary lows. He has required intensive medical treatment including blood transfusions and lots of follow-up blood work. Today he is transferring to a critical care facility.
Steph and Ryan are newly engaged and have happily spent their wedding savings to save try and give their fur baby a fighting chance. However, the bills are adding up extremely quickly and Ralph is in need of our help! Please consider donating to Ralph’s Go Fund Me so that this hero can come home to his loving family where he belongs.
A special thank you to the amazing people who have helped get Ralph this far.
We cannot thank you enough!!!
