Ralphie’s Battle against Cancer
Many seniors across the country are devastated because of COVID-19 and missing their prom and possibly graduation ceremony. Ralphie is a senior who is already used to missing experiences he shouldn’t have to. This is because Ralphie is battling leukemia, pre b all lymphoblastic cancer for the past two years. Despite his cancer, my student Ralphie has continued working hard for his diploma. He amazes me everyday with his drive and determination to graduate and beat cancer.
After a month in the hospital, Ralphie is recovering from a bone marrow transfusion, donated from his wonderful mother. Originally he was going to heal in the Ronald McDonald house, but unfortunately there is no room and he is in a hotel because he has to be close to his hospital for at least 50 days.
Please consider donating to this fundraiser to help ease the stress of their medical bills. I became a teacher to change lives, but Ralphie has changed mine more than I could’ve ever changed his. He is my hero.
