Hi. My name is Jennifer, and for the past 34 years, I have been inseparable from the happy smiling man pictured in the photo with myself and our youngest daughter. We already tragically lost our oldest daughter in 2021, which took its toll. No one should have to endure the loss of a child. It hit him especially hard, there wasn't a day gone by he didn't blame himself or his actions for why we lost her. Then came the loss of his Mother a year later in 2022. That threw us into a whirlwind of Probate filings, given no choice but to sell her house (where we live) and vacate, and yet another funeral planned with no help from his only surviving sibling. Then he was diagnosed with aortic stenosis during an emergency hospital admission in March of last year. He knew his only remedy was open-heart surgery, and this of course would have anyone freaked out. Always stubborn, he thought he could ride out the storm and be present for the massive endeavor of clearing out his mother's home. But every day he got a little weaker, a little more short of breath, staying a little longer on oxygen while at home or on errands. He finally reached a point where his systems were failing from the continued lack of oxygen being provided by his overworked heart. Yesterday, August 15th, was my 53rd birthday. Its also the day he decided he couldn't wait any longer to seek emergency help. That help had to come from no less than 20 onlookers/medical personnel that had to rush to his aid as he collapsed in the parking lot of the hospital ER. They worked valiantly to revive him. I stood there in shock and horror as he took his last breath. I knew he wasn't coming back home to us. Please help support us with your generous donations (no matter how great or small) so that we may apply them towards his funeral costs, and support me and my daughter while we make yet another transition from 3 to just the two of us. Tomorrow would have been our 27th wedding anniversary as well. When I said to him yesterday morning did he remember it was my birthday, his response was confusion (lack of oxygen) and his response was "Huh. How Ironic". Ironic indeed. Thank you for reading my story and God Bless all of you. Life is precious and fleeting indeed.
