Hi everyone, my name is Saylor and this is Rally!

For those of you who don’t know, a little over a year ago I was given the opportunity to join a group called Freedom Paws at Kent State University. We are a non profit organization in which students can raise/ train dogs to be service dogs. In June of 2024 I got the chance to take on the role of raising a pup on my own, which is Rally!

Knowing someday I had to let go of him after I was finished training him was a hard thought to process, but it was so special knowing that he would go on and help someone who really needed him. He is such a special boy and will always hold a special place in my heart for the rest of my life.

For most who aren’t aware, in March of 2025, I went to see a cardiologist regarding some medical issues I had been having. I went through multiple appointments and tests, come to find out I have what is called Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, more commonly knows as POTS. It’s a condition that affects the autonomic nervous system and often requires ongoing treatments/ management.

After a lot of research and trying to understand what to do for my condition, I came across a medical alert service dog, for my POTS. I decided that I could potentially keep Rally to be my service dog. He will have to go through not only extensive but very expensive training. Which is why I am asking for donations to help me accomplish my goal, any amount is greatly appreciated and I couldn’t do any of this without the support from you all.
