On May 28, our beloved friend Paul McLean, now in his 60’s, suffered a devastating stroke.
Paul lives in Astoria, Oregon, with his wife Lauren and their son Lachlan. A graduate of Notre Dame and Claremont Graduate Universities, Paul is not only an accomplished artist but also a tireless advocate, mentor and friend who has devoted countless volunteer hours to the recovery, artistic, and Indigenous communities across the country.
Now, the McLeans need our help.
Paul’s road to recovery will be long and uncertain. Last year, Lauren completed breast cancer treatment and is currently in remission. Their son Lachlan is a thriving student and talented athlete, entering 8th grade with a bright future and aspirations to play college basketball.
With Paul needing intensive treatment and in-home support, Lauren is doing everything she can to keep the family going. A move away from their home in Astoria has become inevitable to accommodate Paul’s physical limitations. The medical care that he is receiving is in Portland, two hours away. Everyday expenses like gas, food, and travel for treatment are adding up fast.
We’re asking friends, family, and all those touched by Paul’s creativity and generosity to please consider making a contribution… a gift to the McLean family's future. Paul has given so much to others. Now it’s our turn to give back.
On behalf of the McLean’s I thank you for your love, compassion, and generosity.
