My dad, Sean was diagnosed suddenly with CML leukemia, in the blast phase. Don’t know what this means? Same. But it basically means it’s the most agressive and the most advanced. Which let’s be real is really not the outcome you’re looking for. Utter shit. My dad is facing this like a true champ exactly how we all know he faces anything - with humor and positivity leading the way. I’ve always said the second he stops embarrassing me I’ll be worried, and folks he is going STRONG and making me cringe and blush. Sean is a star. He’s about to be the best and most jolly and maybe insane patient the cancer ward has ever seen.

The medical bills are going to be huge. Their insurance is okay but won’t cover everything. My mom is going to need help around the house (we all know Sean loves his chores). In classic boomer style they are too proud to ask for help. But I’m not ! My parents need help as they navigate this sudden and, let’s be real, garbage devestating shit diagnosis. He is still figuring out his treatment options and what’s going to be best for him. Whatever he chooses will be right and we will rally behind him.

You know him, you love him, he’s surely made you belly laugh and entertained you, and now he needs a lil bit of love. My dad would be utterly pissed to know I’m asking for help for him, but as his equally insane daughter I’ll take his back lash :)
