Rallying for Rymers

Donation protected
Since Greg joined the St. James Tennis Community back in April 2017, most of you reading this have become familiar with his diligent work ethic, spirited personality, and overall passion for the sport. Greg has been teaching tennis for over 25-years, starting with a local community college and eventually becoming a Head Pro at Lakevue Athletic Club in Pittsburgh, PA. During this time, he was also an Assistant Tennis Coach at Pine Richland High School and Director of Tennis for Wildwood Country Club.

Unfortunately, on September 28th, Greg was admitted to the hospital with acute pancreatitis, putting his active life and job on hold. After spending almost two weeks at Dosher Hospital in Southport with no change in his condition, Greg was transferred to UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Additional complications have followed once UNC Rex reviewed and began to monitor his symptoms and the damage that the disease has created.

Greg is itching to get back on the court as soon as his body allows. In the past, he has continually pushed himself on and off the court. But, at this point, we cannot foresee how long recovery will take. The financial impact on the Rymers will be challenging with medical deductibles, lost income, travel expenses, etc. These costs could be in the thousands of dollars. All donations to this fund will be used to pay the uncovered expenses accumulated during his healing process. Greg and his family thank you for all of your good wishes and support.
