Rallying for Ryan: Supporting His Journey to Recovery

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for our Ryan - our son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend - who is now fighting for his life after a sudden and devastating brain tumour diagnosis.

Since 2023, Ryan has been living his dream, working as a teacher in Sundsvall, Sweden. However, just this past Friday, March 14th, everything changed. He was found unresponsive in his apartment, and within hours, our world was turned upside down. Doctors quickly discovered the cause - an eight-centimeter tumour in his temporal lobe.

His mother, Ann, immediately made the 24-hour trip to be by his side. Ryan was transferred to Sweden’s top oncology and neurological hospital, where he underwent a long and intense surgery to remove as much of the tumour as possible. Thanks to an incredible medical team, the surgery was successful and they were able to remove 80-90% of the tumour. While this is a significant step, we continue to be unsure of what type of tumour we are dealing with. Further, the road ahead will be incredibly challenging and filled with numerous unknowns.

In the coming weeks and months, Ryan will undergo an additional surgery, extensive hospital care, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, as well as additional treatments—all while we work toward bringing him home. This unexpected medical crisis has placed an immense emotional and financial strain on our family, and we are humbly asking for your support.

Every donation, no matter the size, will go toward Ryan’s care, medical expenses, rehabilitation, treatment, and the costs of bringing him home to his loved ones. Your kindness will allow us to focus on what truly matters—Ryan’s healing and future—without the overwhelming stress of financial burdens.
