Help Marguerite in Her Fight Against Stage 4B Endometrial Cancer
This past December 2024, our world was turned upside down when my beloved mother, Marguerite, was diagnosed with Stage 4B endometrial cancer. In an instant, our lives changed, and we were thrust into a battle we never could have imagined.
For over a year, my mother knew something was wrong. She went to her doctor time and time again, desperately searching for answers, only to be told that everything was fine—that it was all in her head. Despite running tests, her doctor dismissed her concerns, leaving my mother feeling unheard and alone in her suffering.
As her symptoms worsened, she made three separate visits to different emergency rooms, only to be sent home without answers. It wasn’t until my father refused to leave without real help that an intern at Stony Brook University stepped in. This young doctor took the time to listen and ordered more detailed testing, which finally revealed the heartbreaking truth—my mother had endometrial cancer, and it had already spread throughout her abdomen.
Emergency surgery was scheduled immediately. For 8.5 grueling hours, surgeons worked to remove as much cancer as possible. What they found was devastating—over 100 tumors had taken over her body, including one the size of a pineapple growing from her cervix. Despite their best efforts, they couldn’t remove it all.
A PET scan confirmed our worst fears—the cancer had spread even further, and my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4B endometrial cancer. After five weeks of painful recovery, she began intensive chemotherapy, fighting for her life with everything she has.
Throughout her life, my mother has been a source of light and strength for everyone around her. She is the heart of our family—the one who lifts others up, who gives selflessly, who loves unconditionally. Now, as she faces the toughest fight of her life, she needs our help.
Because my mother is self-employed, she is no longer able to work. My father has also had to step away from work to be by her side. With no income, the financial burden has become overwhelming. The growing medical bills, cost of treatments, and everyday living expenses are adding an unimaginable amount of stress while my mother is simply trying to survive.
We are reaching out and asking for prayers, love, and any support you can give. Any amount, no matter how small, will help ease the financial strain so that my parents can focus on what truly matters—giving my mother the best chance at fighting this horrible disease.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser. Your support, kindness, and encouragement mean more to us than words can express.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with Marguerite in this fight. Together, we can help her battle this cancer with strength, hope, and love.
With love and gratitude,
Marguerite's family
