Rallying for Mackenzy: Support Needed for Recovery and Adapt
Donation protected
Hello, I’m Kelsey Brockway, and I’m reaching out for support for my sweet nephew Mackenzy and his high school sweetheart, Jazlyn Paige. On the early morning of July 8th, 2024, Mackenzy was in a devastating motorcycle accident. We are incredibly grateful that he survived, but his road to recovery is just beginning.
Mackenzy spent three weeks in a coma and many more in the ICU. He still currently resides in the hospital. He endured multiple severe injuries. While the physical injuries will heal over time, Mackenzy also suffered a serious brain injury. The swelling has decreased, but the damage is significant.
Mackenzy is only 24 years old, with a bright future ahead of him. He was on the verge of obtaining his mechanic license, and his partner Jazlyn is pursuing her dream of becoming a teacher. The uncertainty of Mackenzy’s full recovery means we need to prepare for a future with significant changes. We aim to provide Mackenzy with the best possible chance for a normal life and support Jazlyn as she balances caregiving and her education.
Your generous contributions will go toward:
Medical costs not covered by healthcare
Transportation needs
Retrofitting their home to accommodate disabilities
Ongoing bills and living expenses
Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in their journey. Thank you for your support and kindness during this challenging time.
