If you’ve ever stepped onto a tennis court in the Knoxville or Fairfield Glade area, chances are you’ve met Lori.
For years, Lori has been a familiar and beloved face in the local tennis community. Whether she was competing in matches, cheering on friends, or simply enjoying time on the court, she brought energy, determination, and heart to every game. Tennis isn’t just something Lori plays—it’s part of who she is. The same strength and resilience she shows on the court are the qualities she carries into every part of her life.
Recently, Lori was diagnosed with breast cancer, and our community has been shaken by the news.
As many of you know, Lori works as a landscaper—a physically demanding job that requires long hours, heavy lifting, and constant movement. It’s honest, hard work, and she has always taken pride in it. Unfortunately, as she begins treatment—including appointments, surgery, radiation and recovery—she will not be able to continue working the way she normally does.
Between mounting medical bills and the loss of income during her recovery, Lori is facing an overwhelming financial burden on top of an already difficult diagnosis.
We are raising $35,000 to help cover:
• Medical treatments and hospital bills
• Insurance deductibles and out-of-pocket costs
• Medications and follow-up care
• Lost wages while she is unable to work
• Basic living expenses during recovery
Lori has always been the one who shows up—for matches, for friends, for her community. Now it’s our turn to show up for her.
Cancer may be the toughest opponent she has ever faced, but Lori is not fighting alone. Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the financial stress so she can focus on what truly matters: healing and getting back on the court she loves.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Lori in your thoughts and prayers.
Let’s rally around Lori the way she has rallied for so many of us.
Thank you for your love, generosity, and support.
