Yesterday, Branson underwent a scheduled heart catheterization, during which two stents were placed to open a valve. Unfortunately, this procedure resulted in backflow into another valve, leading to unexpected complications.

Following the procedure, the medical team informed us that Branson will require another open-heart surgery, which is expected to take place tomorrow or Friday. During this surgery, the stents will be removed, scar tissue will be addressed, and a valve replacement will be performed.

We will remain at the hospital until Branson is ready for surgery and throughout his recovery. Many have asked how they can help, and at this time, we simply ask for prayers—prayers for Branson, for our family, and for the medical team caring for him. If you see our other children at school, please offer them support, reassurance, and love during this challenging time.

For those who know Jason Helton and Leah Helton, you know they are asking for prayers for their sweet boy, who is going to be undergoing another open heart surgery. They aren’t the type of people that would ask anyone for a thing BUT I will on their behalf.

It’s expensive to drive back and forth, eat in the cafeteria, have snacks, things to do- so I am taking up money to help less their burden during this unexpected time of need.
