Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I want to introduce you to my coworker Austin and his incredible family. Austin and his wife Viva are expecting another baby boy, but recently received the heartbreaking news that their son has been diagnosed with spina bifida.

To give their baby the best possible chance at a healthy future, the family made the difficult decision to temporarily relocate to Texas, where Viva and the baby could undergo a specialized surgery to help prevent further complications before birth. Thankfully, both mom and baby are stable — but their journey is far from over.

Due to unforeseen complications, Viva and the baby will need to remain hospitalized for the next couple of months. The emotional and financial toll this has taken on the family is immense. Medical bills are mounting, and there will be many future needs for their son, including mobility support like a wheelchair.
