My name is Ruth, and I have terminal cancer. I am raising funds to use for medical and living expenses. I worked as a janitor at a public high school until I was medically retired due to the progression of the cancer.

It started in 2019 when I was originally diagnosed with invasive metastatic carcinoma. After a radical hysterectomy, I underwent surgery to remove a number of lymph nodes and my breasts, yet it has moved to stage four and has continued to spread to my liver, kidneys, bones, adrenals. I worked for years around the chemo and radiation, but after seven years of battling I am no longer physically able to work, yet still need funds for groceries, gas and car repairs to get to and from my now regular medical appointments, in addition to my other bills that continue to pile up and have officially eaten through my savings that I worked for decades to build. I am trying to enjoy the rest of my time with my friends and family, yet am faced with not only the affects directly from the cancer, but also the financial crisis that so many cancer patients face.
