I’m writing this on behalf of Rudy and his family, and it’s hard to put into words how unfair this feels.

Rudy was recently injured in a tragic accident while he was at work, when a vehicle crashed into the barber shop. In an instant, his life—and the lives of his family—were turned upside down.

If you know Rudy, you know he is one of the hardest-working people out there. He works long hours on his feet to provide for his partner and their three young children. Even after exhausting days, he always shows up for his kids. He attends their games and practices and never misses important moments. Being a dad isn’t just something he does—it’s who he is.

As a result of the accident, Rudy suffered serious leg injuries and had to undergo surgery. Because his job requires him to be on his feet, he is currently unable to work, and his recovery is expected to take time. While he focuses on healing, his family is now facing mounting medical bills and the sudden loss of income—something no family should have to worry about during a crisis.

This fundraiser was created to help ease some of that burden. Donations will go toward medical expenses, everyday living costs, and helping keep life stable for Rudy’s partner and children while he recovers.

Rudy has always been someone who shows up for others. Now, he needs his community to show up for him.
